Wanted: Investors
We use the term investment, not charity--and most certainly, not a handout. You have the right to expect a return on your contribution. You have the right to seek positive gains, tangible results. The most for your money. In our opinion, the payoff to you should not be "just knowing" that you gave something. But knowing that your contribution makes a difference. And not just a temporary fix--not just a new coat of paint on a wall crumbling beyond repair. But an improvement--here and now--that also serves as a building for the future.

What the 10,000 Girls program offers
The opportunity to share in and contribute to the success of girls in West Africa who are learning to support themselves through entrepreneurship.
Our program is based upon on a sustainable business model, which according to the proverb, helps girls by "teaching them to fish" so they can be self-reliant career professionals, rather than just "giving them a fish" and so ignoring the core challenges these girls face.
The return on your investment
Or, as we like to say, "When a women is educated, she educates her entire family:"
• Better health • Lower poverty levels • Higher household incomes • Decrease in fertility rates • Smaller family sizes • Higher child vaccination rates • Decrease in infant mortality • Higher child literacy rates • Increased economic potential
All these benefits come from education. Helping girls succeed in school and in the workplace is what we do. Our girls become self-reliant young women who will join the workforce and pay taxes, supporting not only themselves but also their community and nation.
Our current needs and opportunities
Opportunities
The 10,000 Girls education program has gone from 20 to 1442 students in just six years. The Young Women Entrepreneurs of Kaolack (J-FEK) program, from 12 to 25 students in just four years. We currently--as of 20 May 2006--have 1467 participants.Good news, indeed.
More so that our programs get proven results, offer scalability, and are starting to gain international recognition. But with these opportunities come challenges. The Education program is growing at a rate beyond what the business division can currently support.
More good news, however: we can solve our sustainability issues through growth. Not by cutting back on education, but by expanding our business pursuits. The demand for our goods and services exceeds what we can supply.
Needs
To supply this growing demand for our line of high-quality food and other artisanal products, what we need is some capital investment in
- an industrial kitchen
- and other related equipment.
Just a few thousand dollars will go a long way in Senegal. Your contribution will allow our business division to ramp up production. We'll take it from there.
Thank you
