Executive Summary
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe Internet experience. We do not use means--web bugs, spyware, et cetera--to acquire personal information about you without your informed and active consent. We do not sell, share or trade any personal contact information that you may voluntarily provide us with.
Should you decide to support the 10,000 Girls program, we do not process, store or otherwise handle your financial information. Instead, to protect your privacy, we use PayPal. Should any changes in our policy or practices occur, information about these changes will immediately be posted on this site and e-mailed to whatever addresses we have on file.
Finally, we participate in the Safe Harbor initiative sponsored by the EU and USA.

Logs: Each time someone accesses the 10000Girls.org
site, our Web server automatically recognizes and records such
generic information as the visitor's browser type, operating
system, entry page, exit page, and average time on the site.
During this process, no personal or financial data is
solicited, collected or stored. In accordance with
standard practice, the generic information we receive about
visitors--as recorded in the server logs--is used for site
maintenance and improvement.
- Cookies: "Cookies" are small
pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your
computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any
personal identification information, but they do enable
us to store site preferences (such as whether you prefer a larger
or smaller font size). Using 10000girls.org,
however, does not require accepting cookies.

- Access: If you have voluntarily provided us with your information, we respect your right to access, amend or have that information deleted. Visitors who have done so can request their personal information at any time by contacting us. We will make every effort to ensure your right to privacy. We will also review, qualify and validate any Visitor Information Request before releasing the information requested.

Your transaction will be processed by PayPal, one of the most widely established, recognized and secure e-commerce systems on the Internet. We will retain for our records (and tax purposes) the standard information: your name, address, amount given, and date of transaction. We do not retain--or even directly handle--your credit card number or other sensitive financial data. We will, of course, provide you with confirmation of your donation for your records.
