Education, Entrepreneurship, and Opportunity

Acknowledgements

In less than six years, the 10,000 Girls program has grown from 20 to (as of May 2006) 1467 participants. Given our current waiting list of over 700 girls, we expect to have well over 2000 participants for 2007.

And although 10,000 Girls places primary emphasis on Africans helping Africans, on girls learning to help each other and themselves, we want to gratefully acknowledge the many people who have contributed to and continue to share in our success. Who have supported our programs in education and entrepreneurship.

Some have supplied us with necessary materials--from computers to books to kitchen utensils. Some have provided funding. Others have spent time in Senegal, usually at our facilities in Kaolack, working with our girls and teaching business management, English, computer literacy, and more.
